I'm only posting this crap because it's taken me bloody ages. If i've spoke to you on AIM/MSN you've prolly seen it or you read my LJ you might have seen it at some stage.
My entry for Aelice contest on gaia featuring my most favourite character Death/Hiyako from my story Soul Seeker*which is crappy BTW* but I also wanted to do an actual CG of him too. BTW he does have demon wings but the theme of the contest is inorganic wings so his clothes form the wings.
Hair, skin and Hat done in photoshop clothes and BG on painter. Not good with painter ;o; that BG is hideous I really messed it up so I might do it again.
Anywayz full view might kill you but check it out anyway. BTW didn't know where to put this but I consider Death a macabre character. Has that title because I do like the idea of everybody having a life thread which is cut when you die sealing your fate. Or something along those lines. Lets just say those ugly squiggles and stuff are the threads.
kjadf;alksdjf;alksdj - love. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Oh God this turned out fantastic, I love the background and his hat is so beautiful and shiny and and and - ga;lkdfj;lksdjfaklsdjfa.
wow! great job!! i really like the bg, please dont change it!!!!
I cant see much wrong with this imo, except maybe would have tried to do more detail on the studs on his coat/hat/neckcollar, you know made them look metallic and adding highlights etc.
Neway really nice filled pic, no white space, excellent.

this is a really really nice character design, looks very visual-rock-influenced. the composition is also nice, your use of high contrasting blacks and red-oranges really gives a nice effect, especially in the apparent back-lighting. the only thing i see wrong would be the raised arm, it looks very large in comparison to how extremely waifish he is in the rest of his body. maybe recheck the proportions. other than that, this is a great piece, nice job

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have you ever wondered what something meant as far as Photography goes? Things like "Cable Release", "AEB", "C-41", "Neutral density filter", and "Polarizer"? The photonotes.org Dictionary of Film and Digital Photography is one place to stop and get it all answered. This is quite a valuable resource that explains in depth what a photography term means, and will help those understand who might not know what something is.
