Thanks for all your vk input. As I mentioned to most ppl I'd already chose the bands >D I was just testing your knowledge XD. Some suggestions impressed me :0 as in not the typical PSC'ers and well known bands. All together through different people's suggestions you got most of the bands 8D. You didn't mention one however that made me go wtf o_O cos they are made of awesome ~D:

With how slooow the month is going that shouldn't be a problem XD. Does anybody else feel it's a REALLY slow month? It feels like it will never end ;o; and all because I want my D=OUT album so badly XD which is released on the 30th DX. Need flashback pv ~D: and drool over Kouki. I LOVE D=OUT but they have such long hard to remember Japanese titles XD Roman Jomyaku...chabangeki...see I can't even remember the album name D: they also have the most boring covers ever XD;

Also on contests what's with all the game contests on DA lately. I was going to enter the square-enix one but I had an uneasy feeling and don't much like the idea of designing something with no guarantee it won't get ripped off or redesigned without my knowledge. Ergh nasty thought D: I just have an uneasy feeling about the contests even if they are meant to be for fun.

new releases thoughts -

Adore - Lynch.
The latest release they've had in a long time. Adore is getting praise like everywhere and it is so worthy of it O_O. It's not what I imagined it to be, it's better. It has that hard usual Lynch. edge. I've yet to watch the pv but I will 8D. I also really love an illusion ~D: Hazuki's vocals are gorgeous and the song blends really well. It's quite different from their usual stuff too. Definitely give it a listen.

Merry Go world - 12012
Even with THAT title (that belongs on an ancafe album with 'Nyappy in the world 128353 kill me now' ) I didn't expect it to be as upbeat and happy sounding as it is XD. Usually I dislike happy upbeat songs >: but there's something about merry go world that appeals to me. The music blends together so well and Wataru's vocals are better than ever. Lovers is also a great track =w= just slightly softer. I still need to hear the other track though. Yeah I still have to watch the pv.

Crimson Tear (pv) - Sadie
I have to mention the pv for this XD. It's one of the most screwed up pv's I've ever watched (and were counting OBSCURE etc here) and everybody should watch it too XD. Seriously WTF. It was weird enough with the Jesus imagery and western people but the ending XD omg seriously watch it. It's WEIRD. Watch out for BAD CGI and possible offense at Mao's Jesus imitations.

I am pimping D=OUT (pronounced Doubt. Yeah I thought it was 'dee-out' too) again because they are so GOOD O_O. Anyone who reads my lj will know how much I blah about them/Kouki XD well actually more Kouki (hooot ~D: ). Yeah his vocals are really weird and not to everyone's taste but you can adjust XD. The style is pretty 'Merry' like as in rock and jazzy ish. The bass and vocals dominate a lot of songs. Anyway they have 2 mini albums out this month and next. Both with all their old songs on. Normally this should piss anybody off because it's not new material but ALL of D=OUT's releases are out of print so it's good in the long run. We also get their first pv's with them /o/ so I'm really looking forward to both the albums especially because next month's has 'Ginza adventure' on it a track only given away at lives. I haven't done much drawing cos lately I've been too asjnkfkjgbndnbf over Persona 3 XD. I am totally hooked it's such an awesome game D: even when it pisses me off *like levelling up and getting new stuff then dying 3 times in a row DX before I can save* I still want to get back on and play XD. So yes hopefully some fanart for that soon 8D

Anyway yeah I am doing some J-rock/vk fanarts cos I want my J-rock folder to contain something other than RUKI and a few others =w=. Also cos GC need a break XD well Deity does after that last pic DD: it's proving hard to NOT draw him XD.

So yeah I'm interested to know who you like 8D and see how many ppl like bands other than the majors (dir en grey, Gazette, Alice Nine, Miyavi, PSC pretty much, Nightmare etc) just list as many bands as you can and your fav member/songs even if they are major. I am more into indies lately >: but still like some of the majors XD.

OMG XD ‘DAMNED’ has to be my most faved pic ever in the space of what 1-2 days. LOL thanks XD he was in the popular anime/manga drawings section or summat…lol what XD why? Though wtf .__. There is some crap in there that you wonder huh why are you there. Not being bigheaded or saying DAMNED should be there (because yeah to me it is still flawed >: and looking at it makes me think urgh -__-) but some of the stuff .__. One pic there had a boring style and the shittest shading I’d ever seen and 90/100 odd favourites. Maybe I’m being bitchy or elitist but as a pencil artist I think you need to put the time into shading and not just lazily do the rubbing and smudging with your finger thing. I do that VERY rarely because most of the time it can actually fuck it up. I would like to do a shading tutorial =w= cos I don’t think my stuff is actually great but I do think my shading is probably the thing I’m best at :/ after DAMNED though it could take a while for a tutorial or something XD.
I also really want to do some proper comic practice as in layout, with color or screentones and not just sketchy stuff XD. Maybe I’ll use my oc’s or maybe I’ll use j-tardism don’t know yet. I’m always going on how I want to do some small GC manga comic things but don’t actually do much to help with it -__- so I need practice starting with a panel then I’ll try a page and then I’ll try a few pages. You know take it step by step. I HATE CG with a passion purely because it takes so long so I’ve gotta somehow find a faster more efficient way of doing computer work like CG or comics.
Oh also I’m putting Deity on hiatus x: mostly over DAMNED yes XD. I doubt I’ll be able to go long without drawing him –o- it’s hard not to draw him D: (The Kouki pic I’m working on nearly turned into him XD) but I shall try XD. He needs a break.

Well that’s one plan for the future. ARGH so many things I want to do ;O; and not enough time/creativity/skill.
Anyway lately things suck .__. I dunno I just have a feeling of nothingness. Like nothing matters and I’m going nowhere, its like fucking groundhog day every day D: It feels like my life is going nowhere and everybody around me or everybody I know is doing exciting things or getting somewhere. You know that feeling.
I was hoping it would go away but it’s not and I’ve had it for a while now -__- I think this stupid course has just made it worse and more pronounced. I hate this feeling D: it affects everything around me, affects drawing, affects talking to ppl *something I already have trouble with in the first place*, affects my motivation to do anything even simple things like go to bed and get up but mostly it affects my appetite .__. And I already have trouble eating.

Next month in typical fashion J-rockers are whores and releasing a crap load of stuff all at the same time _ (thank you 12012, Lynch. And D=OUT) Also a bunch of games I fancy playing or want (phoenix Wright games ~D: ) are coming out -_- so I’m offering the $10 sketch commissions or $5 chibi’s again for anyone interested. Mostly it’s to give me practice with other ppl’s oc’s. It also gives me practice at speed sketching P:

First thanks for all your game suggestions 8D there’s definitely some I’ll be checking out. Right now I’m playing SMT: Persona 3 and it is OMFG amazing XDD. So addictive, so fun XD I’m not very far cos I lost all my save data from corruption on my bf’s dumb PS3 memory drive >: so had to start over. Right now my guy’s midterms are coming up and rofl XD I’m actually worried for him failing. Also eh how do you choose who to hang out with after school XD so many ppl and I had to let one down the other day x: cos I was invited to 2 things. XD. My anti-summoner stereotype guy XD from DDC an rpg thing. I hate how in games a lot of summoner oriented characters are weakling innocent ‘OMG I can’t do anything D: save me’ people and mostly women as well (Yuna can go fuck off and die!). So I decided my summoner would be a badass asshole with an attitude to boot. To add some humour though his colours are a pinkish purple XD and he has no control over that. 1 of the DDC things is you have little control over you chara appearance. It decides for you based on a test and your mentality.

Already redrawn these guys but want to do some more XD. Also from DDC they are primary team and wanted criminals for ambushing players and stealing everything they have. Ao has always been my fav despite his dead sense of humour and miserable attitude but now I’m starting to like Kiiro too. Strangely you all liked Aka :/ which is like wtf I never gave much thought to him XD he’s there to make up the colour theme.

Also from DDC he is a type called a rag doll. There are different types of characters and rag doll is just above broken doll. Whereas broken doll is the form given to the most mentally fucked up XD rag doll is the less extreme type. Pumpkin is pretty damn cool looking so dunno why I’ve not drawn him since. With his attitude you wouldn’t think he was a rag doll.

AHA there’s no pic. Why? Cos these guys started out as Deity, Kigan and Maku. Go find them if you dare and be surprised what they looked like. I really have no idea how they went from that to J-rock XD;; Deity would turn in his grave after dying from horror if he saw what he started out as. Anyway they are still important main charas so I’m going to rename them and alter their appearance slightly.

All I seem to draw is Ruki ._. so I decided I want more J-rock fanart but more varied and not the big bands like Gazette, dir en grey, Alice Nine etc.
Lesser known visual kei bands 8D and some not even bands I like/or have much of.
In my livejournal I’ve asked for suggestions of vocalists. Also whoever asked for that vocalist is entitled to claim the sketch. In exchange it means you can’t enter the contest.
It’s only a small contest which needs no drawing or writing or anything ability. In fact if you need anything it’s your knowledge of vk indies and who is who.
Prize is undecided yet and will only be small.
Anyway I hope to start that soon and on my livejournal soon they’ll be a last chance to get a vocalist post.

Keeping with the vk indies I found a new J-rock vocalist obsession XD. If any of you are on my lj/msn you’ll know who I mean. I don’t think a lot of you are though. I am such a sucker for the vocalist every time. There’s only 1 or 2 bands where the vocalist is my second fav or something. I’m also a sucker for blue eyed blonde flicky haired guys XD;
This vocalist also gets extra points because he’s such a dorky otaku and a camwhore and a blogwhore (by updating like 3 times a day and at times like 2am). Since when has the vocalist been the biggest of all three of those things in the band. He’s also really tall (tallest in the band) so WTF XD he’s a rare breed of vocalist. He’d tower over me and my shortness >: and wtf you Americans are tall XD.

I’ve loved D=OUT since the moment I heard Mr.JAP which is the first song I dl’ed by them and though Kouki was the most appealing to me in photoshoots he was also kind of meh. You know ugly hot syndrome XD as in when you first see Kyo from diru and think god he’s ugly then he grows on you and you begin to think he’s hot? Well that’s happened to a few ppl XD and it was like that with Kouki the Shirohata sengen photoshoots do nothing for him he looks really gormless and weird D:
In fact photoshoots don’t do him justice when he can actually take better pics himself with a camera phone XD. Apart from his omfg cheekbones he has a really nice face shape X3. So expect fanart of him 8D as he looks somewhat like Deity he shouldn’t be TOO hard XD.

Blargh sorry for such a looooong journal XD I’m really bored x: and should really just update it days at a time rather than just in one go.

I've been put on a stupid computer course till August DX so far it sucks XD cos I'm doing maths -__- and ok seriously I am shit at maths but ffs I know what 10+10 is and how to add and subtract ¬¬. Though yes I really suck at it cos I can't do maths in my head XD especially multiplication and division. Yesterday cos I had to work out sums in my head I actually got a headache XDD;;

Anyway point is it will probably mean even less time online and less art than I do already D:
So that means major boredom and boredom is linked to depression XD seriously.

I only have a PS2 and DS but I plan on getting a PSP. Right now I'm borrowing my bf's and playing tales of eternia which is awesome ~D: I've hardly put it down since I got it XD

The genres I like are mostly RPG, Beat em up and Action

I hate shoot em ups and FPS so no games like that please.

Games/series I like are mostly Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, Guilty Gear, Soul Calibur, Tekken, Phoenix Wright, Kingdom Hearts, Tales of Eternia etc

Yes I know play more tales of games so this is what brings me onto the next part. Unlike USA Europe misses out on lots of RPG's that or they take ages to arrive here or in the case of tales of the abyss will never be released here (WTF DX Namco you suck)

Apparently someone for Sony said 'in our experience Europe don't mind waiting'......WHAT THE FUCK. Where did they get that idea?! We do mind we just have no choice DX. Like if Square enix announced FF13 was coming out in Japan and the US in March but Europe would take a year they'd really expect us to not mind waiting? Bollocks.

Anyway moving on I want to try these games so if any of you've played it tell me what you thought

Shin Megami Tensei series - I already have one game (Lucifers call) but the digital devil 1 & 2 are in gamestation at the moment as a 2 for £20 deal :0 seems like a good time to get into it. Persona 3 is also out this week so I've pre-ordered it. Why when I've never played the series? Cos all I've heard are good things and oh so that's the game the J-rockers were all raving about some months back XD. That and when you pre-order it you get a free art book ;D
I hear it's a demon RPG as well so that's automatic win.

Tales of - OMG how many are there XD there's about 3 or so that haven't been translated yet. Anyway cos Namco suck they aren't releasing Tales of the abyss here and looks like Legendia might go the same way. But I'm gonna buy a swap magic disk so I can play imports 8D so yeah how good are those two? Plan on getting tales of the world too. Can't play symphonia cos I have no Gamecube or wii D: unless I bug my bf to play it.

Atelier Iris - I don't know much about this series anyone else played it?

Suikoden - Seems to be more of a cult RPG. I've always been interested but never played it.

Magna Carta - Awesome Hyung Tae Kim character designs that everybody knows but is the game any good? I've heard bad things mostly -_-

Odin Sphere - Released next month and by square enix. It looks cute and fun but other than that don't know much about it. I only found out bout it through GAME.

And others - Valkyrie profile, Rogue galaxy, wild arms, Mana series, Okami, phantasy star, monster hunter *maybe...looks hard D:*
